Dr. Wayne Moseley
Dr. Wayne E. Moseley, Superintendent of the Coastal District, and has served churches throughout the South Georgia Conference over the last 34 years. Dr. Moseley grew up on a farm in Tattnall County and grew up in the United Methodist Church from an early age. He is married to Sharon H. Moseley and has two daughters who live in South Carolina and one son who lives in Gainesville, FL. He is blessed with seven grandchildren who bring him great delight and joy.
He is a graduate of LaGrange College, Candler School of Theology at Emory University and holds a Doctoral Degree from McCormick Theological Seminary. He has served as Associate Pastor of Park Avenue UMC in Valdosta, Aldersgate UMC in Columbus, St. Marys UMC in St. Marys, Waycross First in Waycross, Valdosta First in Valdosta, and Gray/Clinton Charge in Gray. He was chosen by Bishop King to become the District Superintendent of the Americus District where he served until the conference was reconfigured into six districts. He now is the first superintendent of the new Coastal District which reaches from the South Carolina to the Florida line along the coast and some inland areas of South Georgia. He currently services as the Dean of the Cabinet under Bishop King’s leadership.
Over the years Dr. Moseley has had the opportunity to serve the larger church as the Chair of the Conference Committee on Worship, Secretary of Conference Committee on Finance and Administration, Executive Committee of the Conference Board of Missions.
Dr. Moseley is passionate about serving Christ and His Church and feels so blessed to have the opportunities for ministry that have been his over the years.
