Seeking Director of Youth and Children’s Ministries Pittman Park United Methodist Church in Statesboro, Georgia: The Director of Youth and Children’s Ministries is a full time, 40 hour per week, salaried position. Pittman Park is seeking a passionate, enthusiastic candidate who relates well with children of all ages. We are looking for a director to communicate Methodist principles, values and beliefs. We believe that it is essential for our Director of Youth and Children’s ministry to be someone who is loving, accepting, and inclusive of all. Major Responsibilities: • Build strong, supportive relationships with children, youth, and parents. • Prepare and organize the weekly children and youth programs. This entails recruiting and training volunteers for Sunday morning children’s ministries, leading the youth program on Sunday evenings, and preparing the curriculum for Wednesday night small group bible studies. • Coordinate programs with church staff and volunteers such as Vacation Bible School, Fall Festival, family movie night, seasonal celebrations, etc. • Plan recreational trips, spiritual retreats, and mission events for the youth. • Maintain consistent communication with children and youth, parents, church, and staff. • Attend church council meetings to report on the children and youth events at PPUMC. • Set and adhere to budget for children and youth (for classroom supplies, outings, special events, etc.) Requirements: Satisfactory Background Check Participation in Safe Sanctuary Training Minimum age for applicants is 23 years (due to Safe Sanctuary Guidelines) Bachelor’s degree preferred Submit resume to pittmanpark56@gmail.com Proposed Start Date- August 2019
